Key Qualifications:

  • Active Registered Nurse license in the state of Illinois
  • Demonstrated experience managing G-tubes, tracheostomies, and ventilators
  • Prior critical care or pediatric experience strongly preferred
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate professionally with families and school personnel
  • LPNs are not eligible for this position
  • Must be able to reliably meet at the students residence in Wheaton (zip: 60187); candidates are encouraged to verify their commute before applying

Key Responsibilities:

  • Meet the student at their home daily at 12:30PM, accompanying them on the bus to and from school
  • Provide vigilant, one-on-one medical care and monitoring throughout the school afternoon
  • Respond quickly and appropriately to any health needs or emergencies
  • Maintain clear and accurate documentation regarding the student's health care at school
  • Collaborate closely with teachers and staff to ensure a seamless educational experience

This contract runs from August 18, 2026 through May 28, 2027, Tuesday through Friday, 12:30 PM 4:00 PM. This unique schedule provides the flexibility and personal satisfaction of one-on-one care outside typical full-time hours.
