Responsibilities

Promotes and maintains the health of designated patients by implementing and assisting in coordination of quality patient care under the direction of an RN or physician. 


Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

 

At Mobile Infirmary Medical Center (MIMC) graduate of an LPN program

At Thomas Hospital (TH), North Baldwin Infirmary (NBI), and Long-Term Acute Care Hospital (LTACH) participation in a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) program, with successful passage of the NCLEX PN examination

 

Licensure/Certification/Registration:

 

BLS

One of the following:

  • Current Alabama LPN license
  • Current Multi State LPN License in accordance with Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) for Alabama*

*Infirmary Health abides by the NLC requirements and guidelines for the state of Alabama

 

Desired Qualifications:

 

Associate Degree

Working knowledge of area Licensure, Registration, Certification: Advanced certifications such as IV
