As a Full Time Nurse Practitioner (NP), you'll provide care to client employees and their dependents in our Health Center located in Seattle, WA. The scheduled hours are 32/hrs a week, Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday 7:00am-4:00pm. What You’ll Do Conducts physical exams and preventive health measures per guidelines Performs procedures such as injections, suturing, wound care, and infection management Develops patient care plans, records progress, and ensures continuity of care Educates patients on treatment plans, health maintenance, and development Orders and interprets diagnostic tests to assess clinical conditions Collaborates with physicians and healthcare teams for comprehensive care Prescribes or recommends treatments, including medications and therapies Refers patients to specialists or physicians as needed Maintains patient health records ensure accurate and up-to-date documentation and records Educates and coaches nursing staff on best practices Performs other duties as assigned What You’ll Bring Maintains state RN licenses/certificates to practice Maintains Nurse Practitioner licenses/certificates to practice Maintains State Prescriptive Authority (if applicable) Federal DEA license (matching each state of practice as applicable) State Narcotic/Controlled Substance license if required in your state (Alabama, Connecticut, DC, Delaware, Hawaii, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Louisiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Nevada, New Jersey, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Rhode Island, South Carolina, South Dakota, Utah, Wyoming, Puerto Rico) (New York ROPES registration) Current national certification (ANCC or AANP required) Master’s Degree in Science of Nursing (if Master Degree in Science certificate does not state Nursing on it then a copy of transcripts is required) Current certification with hands-on training in AHA, ARC or equivalent Basic Life Support for health care providers is required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support may also be required based on contract scope of services At least three years of clinical experience as a Nurse Practitioner in an ambulatory care, occupational health, family practice or emergency department setting Work-life balance is at the foundation of how decisions are made and where Premise is headed. A Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center ARNP/PA-C is a certified Physician Assistant or Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner who provides evaluation and medical management for Hematology and Hematologic Malignancy patients following bone marrow transplantation, specializing in the management of graft-versus-host disease and other post-transplant complications. This role offers the opportunity to care for a unique patient population facing health and life challenges, combining comprehensive primary care responsibilities with highly sub-specialized, complex care. The ARNP/PA-C follows patients, provides supportive medical care, and conducts surveillance after treatment completion while working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate and optimize patient care. There are also opportunities to participate in clinical research studies. All clinical responsibilities are performed within the scope of practice, institutional privileges, and under the supervision of an attending physician. Responsibilities Performs complex and problem-focused H & P’s Evaluates and manages on-treatment and post-treatment side effects, as well as long-term surveillance and survivorship issues. Performs procedures (bone marrow aspiration and biopsy, lumbar puncture with intrathecal chemotherapy, etc.) according to licensure, credentialing, and scope of practice Collaborates and consults with other disciplines and services to ensure safe, effective, and timely treatment as well as continuity of patient care.
