Monitors and reviews the various functions carried out by the lower level nurses. Reviews record keeping functions. Serves as lead worker to lower-level nurses. Maintains adequate supply and security of medical equipment. Reviews medical records and completes health summary forms for individual in custodytransfers. Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above  Minimum Qualifications Requires (A) graduation from an approved nursing education program resulting in an associate or diploma degree in nursing and three (3) years of progressively responsible professional nursing experience OR (B) a bachelor's degree in nursing and two (2) years of professional experience OR (C) a master's degree in nursing.  Requires licensure as a registered nurse in the State of Illinois.  Preferred Qualifications Prefers at least two (2) years of nursing experience in a correctional setting.  Prefers at least two (2) years of experience working in the mental health.  Prefers at least two (2) years of experience problem solving in a nursing position. Prefers at least two (2) years of experience working on an interdisciplinary team. Prefers at least two (2) years of working experience in a leadership role. Conditions of Employment Requires current cardiopulmonary resuscitation certification. Requires the ability to pass the IDOC/IDJJ background check. Requires ability to pass a drug screen.
