QUALIFICATIONS

Current RN license for NM or Compact License.
Current BLS/CPR certification or willingness to acquire one.
Experience in nursing management is preferred but not required.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Follows established procedure for charting and incident reporting.
Follows company procedures for narcotic counting, pharmacy orders, and restraint reduction.
Documents any change in patient's conditions including but not limited to nutritional problems, infections, skin conditions, weight loss or any other noticeable changes.
Utilizes the Quality Life Manual for identification, placement, and monitoring of patients in the appropriate programs.
Document and notify applicable departments of any patient's room changes, LOA, new admits, or discharges.
Makes rounds with physicians when necessary.

Objective The MDS Coordinator assists the Director of Nursing and the RN Assessment Coordinator with ensuring that documentation in the center meets Federal, State, and Certification guidelines. The MDS Coordinator coordinates the RAI process assuring the timeliness, and completeness of the MDS, CAAs, and Interdisciplinary Care Plan. Principal Responsibilities Assists the center in assuring adherence to Federal and State regulations and certification. Actively participates in the regulatory or certification survey process and the correction of deficiencies Reports trends from completed audits to the Quality Assurance Committee Assures the completion of the RAI Process from the MDS through the interdisciplinary completion of the plan of care. Initiates and monitors RAI process tracking, discharge/reentry and Medicaid tracking forms through the PointClickCare system. Follows up with staff when necessary to assure compliance to standards of documentation.
