The position supports a student with a tracheostomy (trach), with no current interventions running, ensuring their well-being during school hours. The role begins with part-time morning hours, Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM through June 23. For summer programming, hours shift from July 6 to August 6, Monday through Thursday, 8:00 AM to 12:30 PM.

Qualifications:

Current Massachusetts LPN or RN ASN license
Experience in a school setting or pediatric environment preferred
Familiarity with trach care is desirable
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Commitment to maintaining a safe and nurturing learning environment

Responsibilities:

Provide direct health care services to a student in the classroom setting
Monitor the students trach and respond promptly to any medical needs
Collaborate with school staff, parents, and external healthcare providers as needed
Maintain thorough documentation of care and follow all health and safety protocols
Foster a supportive, attentive, and professional presence in the school community
