LPN Needed-Full Time Position
Outpatient Facilities
Travel Required

We are currently seeking a Full-Time (LPN) to work in outpatient medical facilities in the 5 boroughs. This position requires travel.

Responsibilities may include:

Oversee and support the clinic's daily activities
Give direct nursing care to patients along with assigning patient and staff schedules and supervision of fellow nurses and medical assistants
Work with family and staff for well-coordinated care for patients
Obtain prior authorizations on behalf of providers
Ensure provider and support staff documentation for all PHI is completed by EOB
Serve as both patient advocate and liaison between the practice and population

Requirements:

Currently licensed as an LPN in the State of New York.
Experience with patients with intellectual and developmental disabilities preferred
EMR experience is important
Ability to participate in 2-5 weekdays of paid NYS Mandated OPWDD initial trainings during normal business hours upon hire
Tuberculosis test mandatory

The Licensed Practical Nurse - Allergy will provide a high level of general care and education to patients by using their knowledge and skills to promote the goal of The Ultimate Patient Experience. Previous allergy experience required. Schedule: Full time, 30+ hours. Availability Monday through Friday with rotating Saturdays within operating hours of 7a-7p . Licensed Practical Nurse - Allergy Promote a professional and welcoming atmosphere to enhance the quality of service and care offered to patients and for respective provider(s). Provide general care and education to patients in accordance with OSHA regulations. Administer prescribed medications and treatments, including allergy shots, under the direct or indirect supervision from a provider. Prepare necessary supplies for allergy testing and treatments. Perform lung function testing (FeNO and Spirometry) with and without bronchodilators. Assist in the interpretation of patch testing results and perform placement and removal as directed by an RN or provider. Maintain the immunotherapy room with necessary supplies and materials, ensuring cleanliness. Administer allergy shots and ensuring provider is on site. Observes, records and reports patients’ vitals and reactions to treatments. Assesses patients’ needs and suggest solutions to patient care problems. Supervise triaging of patient communications (through email and/or portal). Maintains accurate patient records, document all visits in EMR. Confirm that insurance benefits have been verified prior to the preparation of allergy serums. Regularly interact with physicians, other providers, and staff to identify and resolve problems. Maintain knowledge of trends and developments in the field by reading appropriate articles, journals, and related materials; and by attending seminars and conferences as needed. Report improperly operating medical equipment and instruments to the supervisor. Perform inventory responsibilities, including but not limited to, ordering and stocking of supplies and equipment as requested. Qualifications Previous Allergy experience required. Graduate from an LPN education program approved by the respective state Education Department. Pass the NCLEX-PN examination. Active LPN license in the state working in required. CPR and AED Certifications required. Experience using EMR software and patient scheduling systems. Must be computer savvy and familiar with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. Excellent patient relations and customer service skills. Open availability to work during weekdays.
