RN/ Registered Nurse Requirements:

Currently holds an active RN license to work in New York.
CPR Certified (BLS or ALS accepted)
Meets all State and Federal requirements for US employment in a Nursing Facility
Strong patient assessment skills
Ability to communicate effectively
Demonstrated clinical competency

Five Star RNs are expected to carry out the following tasks:

Accurately record medical histories.
Take and record vital signs, collect samples for lab testing.
Administer medications and perform approved procedures and care.
Monitor patient condition and compose patient charts.
Provide emotional and psychological support when needed
Communicate with patients’ families to provide advice, comfort, and release instructions
Provide supervision and support to other nurse staff when necessary

Job Summary In the ICU of a hospital, patients are often in critical condition and need constant monitoring and care. ICU nurses review data from special equipment to track a patient’s heart rate, blood pressure, breathing and other vitals.
