Overview

Under the direct supervision of the Supervisor, directs, coordinates, and controls the nursing activities of his or her assigned staff. Assists the Supervisor in evaluation of assigned staff and in completion of assigned projects. The Registered Nurse provides care for a group of patients utilizing the Nursing Process. Assignments are performed appropriately to age and developmental level of patients being served. Responsible for maintaining nursing schedules, orientation of new employees.

Qualifications

Required Education:

  • Associate's Degree. Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
  • BSN degree from an accredited school of nursing within three (3) years of hire date.

 

Preferred Education:

  • BSN. 

 

Required Licensure/Certifications:

  • Licensed to practice nursing in the State of Florida
  • BLS from the American Heart Association 

 

Preferred Licensure/Certifications:

  • Professional certification preferred

Required Experience:

  • 1-2 years of RN experience.
