Our labor and delivery unit delivers over 6,700 babies per year. In our dynamic Perinatal Program, we provide excellent patient and family-centered care to high-risk and low-risk patients.

Qualifications

Educational Requirements:

Graduate of an accredited nursing program. BSN or higher preferred.

License/Certification/Registration Requirements:

Current California State RN License required
ACLS from American Heart Association or American Red Cross and NRP Certification
For RN III: Specialty Certification (external applicants may obtain within one year of hire)

Experience:

Minimum 3 years recent acute RN experience in Labor and Delivery required. Note: (minimum 1 year recent acute RN experience in Labor and Delivery will be considered for RN II)

Job Summary Provides quality patient care to critically ill patients, through the nursing process of Assessment, Planning, Intervention, and Evaluation. Serves as a patient advocate at all times. Supervises the nursing care provided to each patient by other caregivers.
