UH MacDonald Women's Hospital is growing to meet the needs of our community, and we are looking for talented nurses to join our compassionate and dedicated team of Women's Health professionals. 

 The Labor and Delivery unit at the UH MacDonald Women's Hospital provides services to care for inpatient and outpatient pregnant women up to six (6) weeks postpartum who have an acute need for care. Designated as a Level VI Labor and Delivery unit (High Risk Unit), services provided may or may not be for labor and delivery. The unit serves as the inpatient and outpatient obstetrical operating room, outpatient evaluation and testing site, recovery room, and unit for the immediate stabilization of adults and newborns.  Intrauterine fetal procedures or surgeries may also be performed in this department.

Registered Nurse (RN) Weekender Medical Surgical Joint Camp

Weekender Program – Salary and Schedule Overview Individuals hired for a Weekender position are required to work two (2) 12-hour shifts between 7:00 PM Friday and 7:00 AM Monday. In return for this commitment, Weekenders will be compensated at 1.5 times their regular hourly rate for these shifts. Individuals in Weekender roles qualify for full-time medical and dental benefits, whereas eligibility for all other benefits is at part-time levels. UH Elyria Medical Center 6 Smythe is a 22-bed unit to care for Orthopedic, Trauma and General Surgery patients. All rooms are private with walk-in bathrooms and showers in each room with 17 of the rooms have telemetry capability. The floor is staffed based on the current volume of patients, the expected incoming surgical volume for the day and the acuity.
