How you’ll make an impact in this role
- Lead Outbreak Response: Track and investigate infection clusters to stop the spread of germs quickly.
- Train Hospital Staff: Teach doctors and nurses safe hygiene and clean care methods.
- Create Safety Rules: Write clear health policies based on current medical science and laws.
- Review Patient Data: Check daily reports to find and fix hidden infection risks.
What minimum requirements you’ll need
Licensure / Certification / Registration:
- Registered Nurse credentialed from the Oklahoma Board of Nursing required.
- Licensed Registered Nurse obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
- Certification in Infection Prevention and Control required within 3 years of hire required.
Education:
- Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time hire.
What additional preferences we're seeking
- Certified in Infection Control (CIC) credential and 3+ years of Infection Prevention experience with surgical background is strongly preferred.
- Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with all levels of hospital staff (Executive Leadership, Physicians, front line teams, nursing, etc.)
- Demonstrable accountability, critical thinking, follow-through, and relationship-building skills.
