Qualifications & Experience Sought:

  • Active and unencumbered RN or LPN/LVN license in North Carolina
  • Previous experience working in a school, pediatric, or community health environment preferred
  • Strong clinical and assessment skills relevant to a school population
  • Excellent communication skills for interacting with students, parents, and staff
  • Ability to work independently, demonstrating initiative and sound judgment
  • Current CPR/BLS certification

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide routine care and urgent medical attention to students and school staff as needed during the school day
  • Develop and implement care plans for students with chronic conditions or specific needs
  • Administer medications, conduct health screenings, and ensure accurate health records are maintained
  • Respond to emergencies and follow established protocols for crisis intervention
  • Educate students and staff on health, wellness, and injury prevention
  • Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and administration to support student well-being
