Registered Nurse (RN) – Intensive Care Unit

The Intensive Care Unit( ICU) is a 12-bed critical care unit that provides comprehensive care for hemodynamically unstable patietns. The unit delivers advance, evidence base therapies including continuos renal replacement therapy (CRRT), intra-aortic balloon pump (IABP) and Impella management and targeted temperature management (TTM). The ICU is a closed unit and is staffed by a multidisciplinary team with specialized critical care expertise to provide continuous monitoring and rapid intervention, and high quality, patient centered care for patients with complex medical and surgical needs.

As a Registered Nurse (RN), a typical day may include:

  • Conducting comprehensive patient assessments and recognize subtle clinical changes, using your judgment to intervene early and advocate for your patients
  • Providing safe, evidence-based medications, treatments, and hands on care grounded in strong clinical judgment
  • Serving as a clinical partner to physicians and advanced providers, offering insight that supports timely, well-coordinated care decisions

To be considered for this RN opportunity, you must hold an active New Jersey Registered Nurse license in good standing and a current American Heart Association BLS certification. A Bachelor’s degree in Nursing is strongly preferred, as is prior patient care experience and comfort with electronic medical record systems (EMR) like EPIC.

Overview The Registered Professional Nurse is responsible and accountable for prescribing, delegating and coordinating all nursing care as defined by The New York State Nursing Practice Act. Assessment Assesses patient’s physical, social, behavioral, and mental status through direct observation, interview, and medical record review. Includes assessment from history and data collection as obtained from the patient and/or care providers. Utilizes observational skills to assess patient’s needs. Documents a nursing assessment to include psychosocial, environmental factors, educational level, and needs. Qualifications Education: Internal & 1199 SEIU: Graduate of accredited nursing program(s). Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred.
