School Nurse Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) | Warwick, Rhode Island

Embark on a meaningful opportunity as a Certified Nurse Assistant supporting a young student in a school-based setting near Warwick, RI. This contract position is ideal for a caring, experienced CNA who is passionate about making a difference in pediatric care. You'll provide dedicated one-to-one support for a pre-kindergarten student throughout the school day, including bus transportation and monitoring for seizure disorders.

Qualifications & Required Experience:

  • Current CNA license and valid CPR certification
  • Demonstrated pediatric experience ideally within school or childcare environments
  • Familiarity with seizure protocols and comfortable providing oversight during transportation
  • Ability to communicate effectively and compassionately with children, staff, and families
  • Reliability and professionalism in routine, confidential care

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accompany a single pre-K student to and from school by bus, monitoring for medical safety at all times
  • Provide hands-on assistance and supervision throughout the morning (7:45am11:15am, MondayFriday)
  • Observe, recognize, and respond to signs of seizure activity or health changes promptly and appropriately
  • Maintain detailed care documentation and communicate relevant updates as needed
  • Collaborate with school staff, nurses, and families to ensure consistent and safe daily routines
