At Nemours Children’s Hospital, Delaware, our Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) nurses play an essential role in providing lifesaving care to the region’s most fragile newborns. As Delaware’s only Level IV NICU, we deliver the highest level of neonatal care — supporting infants with the most complex medical and surgical needs, including those requiring ECMO support. About Our NICU

  • Provides care for up to 32 critically ill infants, expanding to 46 beds with our upcoming $130 million campus investment in maternal-fetal health and NICU services.

Qualifications And Experience

  • Previous Level III or IV NICU experience strongly preferred
  • Minimum one year of nursing experience required
  • Current Delaware or Multistate Compact RN license
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Adaptability and comfort in fast-paced, unpredictable environments
  • American Heart Association BLS (required upon hire)

Our nurses are part of an incredible team that includes top neonatologists and pediatric surgeons. You’ll play an essential role in providing the best care for a child, while working with cutting-edge solutions. N/IICU nurses are active participants in cutting-edge research in neonatology, surgery and pediatric subspecialty care, along with supporting deliveries in our Special Delivery Unit. The N/IICU is currently 100 beds spread over 5 individual units, each with its own manager and leadership team . Applications to this requisition include all 5 NICU units. This requisition may fill multiple positions. Full-time and part-time opportunities may be available. Primary Functions JOB DESCRIPTION The Registered Nurse is a clinically competent practitioner of pediatric, family centered nursing care. The nurse provides safe nursing care to the pediatric primary care patients with minimal guidance and bases practice on identified principles and standards of care. Job Details The Obstetrics Nurse Navigator provides individualized clinical navigation, patient education, and care coordination for obstetric patients across the ambulatory care continuum.
