POSITION SUMMARY

Primary Care Solutions is seeking an experienced and highly motivated PRN Nurse Practitioner to provide short-term coverage at VA Community-Based Outpatient Clinics (CBOCs) in multiple states where PCS operates.
This position offers exceptional scheduling flexibility, allowing providers to work anywhere from one week per month to full-time equivalent coverage, depending on clinic needs and provider availability. Assignments are generally Monday through Friday, with travel occurring on Sunday and return travel on Friday evening or Saturday, depending on location and flight availability.
This is a fully on-site, patient-facing position providing comprehensive primary care services to our nation's Veterans.
Providers who maintain multiple state licenses and VA credentials may have opportunities to practice in several geographic regions, creating a unique opportunity to travel, serve Veterans across the country, and customize their workload based on individual preferences.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

As a PRN Nurse Practitioner, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality primary care services to Veterans while supporting clinic operations during staffing needs.
Responsibilities include:
•    Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and examinations
•    Diagnose, treat, and manage acute and chronic medical conditions
•    Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans
•    Review laboratory, imaging, consultative, and diagnostic information to guide patient care
•    Complete preventive health screenings and VA clinical reminders
•    Coordinate care with interdisciplinary Patient Aligned Care Team (PACT) members
•    Document encounters accurately and timely within the VA electronic health record system (VISTA/CPRS)
•    Ensure compliance with VA clinical standards, policies, and performance measures
•    Promote positive patient experiences and outstanding clinical outcomes

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
•    Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
•    Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program (MSN required)
•    Board Certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP), Adult-Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner (AGPCNP), or other applicable primary care specialty
•    Current certification through an accredited certifying organization
•    Minimum one year of clinical practice experience preferred
•    Active, unrestricted state nursing licenses in states where services are provided
•    Active, unrestricted DEA registration for applicable practice locations
•    Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
•    Strong computer and documentation skills
•    Ability to travel regularly and work independently in various clinic locations

CREDENTIALING REQUIREMENTS

Selected candidates must:
•    Successfully pass all required federal background investigations
•    Meet VA credentialing and privileging requirements
•    Obtain and maintain active credentialing with each VA Medical Center (VAMC) where services are performed
•    Maintain all required licenses, certifications, registrations, and continuing education requirements throughout employment
