Diagnose and classify mental illnesses according to established diagnostic criteria (e.g., DSM-5). Assess and evaluate suicide risk, self-harm, and dangerous behaviors among incarcerated individuals. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals and correctional staff to gather relevant information for accurate diagnoses. Treatment Planning and Implementation: Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for incarcerated individuals with psychiatric disorders. Prescribe appropriate psychiatric medications and monitor their effectiveness and side effects. Provide brief psychotherapy and counseling services to incarcerated individuals, using evidence-based therapeutic modalities. Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate care and ensure a holistic approach to treatment. Modify treatment plans as needed based on patients' progress and response to interventions. General Cardiology and Heart Failure Advanced Practice Provider

Job Description This Cardiology Advanced Practice Provider (APP) position is a full time role covering general cardiology and heart failure with the primary patient population being adult. Inpatient responsibilities will include general cardiology rounding at St. Luke’s South. Outpatient responsibilities will consist of heart failure clinics at both St. Luke’s South and St. Luke’s Hospital (Plaza). The schedule is Monday through Friday and consists of four 10-hour shifts (7:30 AM to 5:30 PM) each week, with one variable day off. There is a weekend and holiday commitment for this role. The employee will be responsible for the medical management of the Cardiology patient population within the scope of an Advanced Practice Provider. The term Advanced Practice Provider encompasses Nurse Practitioners, Physician Assistants, and Clinical Nurse Specialists. The employee will have successfully completed a Master’s degree (or higher level of educational program) and have met the requirements for the respective State Board(s) (Missouri and Kansas). The APP will hold and maintain a national certification and licensure as required by State Boards and BJC-Saint Luke’s Health System, as well as other certification as obligatory for this role.
