Salary: $95,000–$110,000 per year, based on experience

Are you an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) looking to take the next step in your nursing leadership career?
Our skilled nursing facility is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to support our nursing leadership team and help ensure the highest standards of resident care. The ideal candidate will have strong long-term care experience, excellent leadership skills, and a passion for developing nursing staff while maintaining a safe, compliant, and resident-centered environment.
Key Responsibilities
Lead, supervise, and support nursing personnel to ensure exceptional resident care.
Promote a safe, healthy, and professional workplace that supports high-quality clinical outcomes.
Partner with the Director of Nursing and facility leadership to achieve nursing department goals.
Serve as a key liaison between nursing staff, facility management, physicians, residents, and families.
Address nursing and unit-related concerns promptly and effectively.
Participate in and oversee weekly wound rounds.
Support facility survey readiness, regulatory compliance, and quality assurance initiatives.
Assist with staff education, training, and professional development.
Support infection prevention and control initiatives and ensure adherence to established protocols.
Foster teamwork, accountability, and strong communication throughout the nursing department.
Assist with maintaining appropriate clinical standards, policies, and procedures.
Provide leadership and guidance to nursing staff in a fast-paced skilled nursing environment.
Qualifications
Active, unrestricted Florida RN license required.
Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
Minimum of 3 years of long-term care/skilled nursing experience.
Previous supervisory or nursing leadership experience preferred, such as ADON, Unit Manager, or similar role.
Experience with staff education and infection prevention/control.
Strong knowledge of long-term care regulations, clinical standards, and quality-of-care practices.
Excellent communication, leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Strong commitment to resident-centered care and team development.
