Responsibilities include:
- Delivering skilled nursing care, including tracheostomy management, g-tube feedings, and seizure monitoring/intervention as needed
- Accompanying the student during school hours, including classroom participation and transitions
- Monitoring and documenting vital signs, symptoms, and response to interventions
- Administering prescribed medications and treatments according to individualized healthcare plans
- Communicating regularly with parents, educators, and healthcare providers to coordinate comprehensive care
- Maintaining an organized and sanitary workspace while adhering to state and district guidelines for student health
- Responding promptly and effectively to emergent situations
Qualifications:
- Active LPN, LVN, or RN licensure in Illinois
- Experience with tracheostomies, g-tubes, and seizure care in pediatric or school settings preferred
- Exceptional observation, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to remain calm, professional, and focused in fast-changing situations
- Current CPR/BLS certification
