Job Description​

Saint Luke's North Hospital is looking for a talented Registered Nurse to join the dynamic Intensive Care Unit. 

Position: Registered Nurse (RN) – ICU
Schedule: Part Time, 24 hours, Nights

We are seeking experienced nurses who provide patient centered care with compassion and empathy. We are seeking natural leaders who love to help everyone succeed and ensures every patient on the unit is receiving exceptional patient care. If you are a team oriented nurse who is flexible, adaptable and able to change directions quickly, then this is the right position for you.

  • Supportive leadership team, with Nursing Assistants to assist

  • Intensivists and NP’s work alongside RNs during shifts, Respiratory Therapy available at night

  • Extra incentives available for picking up additional shifts

In hospital setting, accountable for utilizing the nursing process. Responsible for performing patient care, delegating patient care tasks and for supervision of other patient care staff. Responsible for coordinating the plan of care for a group of assigned patients and consulting with other members of the health care team when indicated to ensure optimal patient outcomes. This clinical nurse demonstrates proficiency and abides by policies, rules, guidelines and procedures.

Job Description​ Accountable for utilizing the nursing process. Responsible for performing patient care delegating patient care tasks and for supervision of other patient care staff. Demonstrates increasing discriminatory judgment in interpreting data and prioritizes appropriately. Initiates actions to improve nursing practice and patient care and unit processes. Serves as a day to day resource to colleagues at unit and department levels. Delegates tasks appropriately. Assumes preceptor responsibilities as needed. Utilizes appropriate hospital resources. Is a member of a collaborative care team who is responsible for providing tele-nursing care to a diverse population of patients across various departments within the SLHS. Utilize good communication skills in tense situations. Have years of experience to understand what they are looking for in trending for this population. Partner with bedside team to monitor all assigned patients. Provide early detection of changes or possible problems in this population. Notify bedside team of possible issues and assisting them in activating resources needed to address issues.
