Schedule: Full-Time, MondayFriday

We are currently seeking a compassionate and experienced LPN to provide 1:1 nursing support to a medically fragile student throughout the school day for the upcoming school year.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 nursing care and support throughout the school day
  • Monitor and manage the needs of a medically fragile student
  • Support students with diabetes and seizure disorders
  • Assist with G-tube care/feeding and tracheostomy care
  • Provide toileting, diapering, and other personal care as needed
  • Ride the school bus with the student when required
  • Monitor for changes in the student's condition and respond appropriately
  • Communicate effectively with school staff, family, and the healthcare team
  • Follow the student's individualized healthcare plan and school nursing protocols

Qualifications:

  • Active LPN license in Virginia
  • School nursing or pediatric experience preferred
  • Experience working with medically fragile students strongly preferred
  • Comfortable with diabetes management, seizures, G-tubes, trachs, toileting/diapering, and other complex medical needs
  • Comfortable providing care in a school setting and riding the bus with the student
  • Dependable, compassionate, and comfortable working closely with a student on a 1:1 basis
