We are currently seeking a compassionate and experienced LPN to provide 1:1 nursing support to a medically fragile student throughout the school day for the upcoming school year.

Responsibilities:

Provide 1:1 nursing care and support throughout the school day
Monitor and manage the needs of a medically fragile student
Support students with diabetes and seizure disorders
Assist with G-tube care/feeding and tracheostomy care
Provide toileting, diapering, and other personal care as needed
Ride the school bus with the student when required
Monitor for changes in the student's condition and respond appropriately
Communicate effectively with school staff, family, and the healthcare team
Follow the student's individualized healthcare plan and school nursing protocols

Qualifications:

Active LPN license in Virginia
School nursing or pediatric experience preferred
Experience working with medically fragile students strongly preferred
Comfortable with diabetes management, seizures, G-tubes, trachs, toileting/diapering, and other complex medical needs
Comfortable providing care in a school setting and riding the bus with the student
Dependable, compassionate, and comfortable working closely with a student on a 1:1 basis
