Responsibilities:

Supervise and coordinate nursing staff during weekend shifts, ensuring optimal patient care delivery across departments such as ICU, emergency medicine, long-term care, assisted living, and pediatrics.
Oversee patient assessments, vital signs monitoring, physical examinations, and medical documentation using EMR/EHR systems like Cerner, Athenahealth, or eClinicalWorks.
Manage medication administration, IV infusions, catheter care, tube feeding, and sterile procedures while maintaining aseptic techniques.
Conduct diagnostic evaluations including laboratory specimen collection/processing, medical imaging coordination, and diagnostic evaluation documentation.
Ensure infection control protocols are followed and implement infection prevention strategies.
Facilitate discharge planning, case management, utilization review/management, and compliance with NCQA standards.
Provide leadership in emergency situations such as airway management, ventilator use, cardiac catheterization procedures, or spinal taps.
Maintain accurate medical records in accordance with HIPAA regulations and hospital policies.
Support staff development through training on ICD-9/10 coding, CPT coding, DRG documentation, and other medical terminology.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive care tailored to patients with diverse needs including dementia care, Alzheimer's/memory care, behavioral health issues, neonatal ventilator management, or working with people with disabilities.

Requirements:

Active New Jersey RN license
Supervisor experience
Strong clinical and communication skills
