Responsibilities
  • Manage your own caseload including supervision of LPN visits — you run your schedule
  • Varied weekly visits including routine care, evaluations, and starts of care — no two days the same
  • Educate patients on health conditions including CHF, COPD, Diabetes, Wound Care, and Medication Management
  • Collaborate with physicians to obtain orders and write diagnosis-driven plans of care
  • Work alongside a strong therapy team including PT, OT, and Speech
Requirements
  • Active Missouri or Compact RN License
  • Valid Missouri Driver's License
  • Home health experience strongly preferred
  • Strong clinical skills in physical assessment and diagnostic interpretation
  • Organized, self-directed, and able to manage your own caseload
  • Compassionate communicator with patients, families, and physicians

A Physical Rehabilitation Nurse in our hospital will specialize in caring for patients recovering from acute or chronic illnesses, injuries, or surgeries that require rehabilitation services. These nurses help patients regain independence, improve their physical and functional abilities, and adapt to new health circumstances. A Tele RN specializing in attending to patients within our telemetry units, including those needing cardiac monitoring. The Tele RN will monitor and interpret our patient's vital signs, such as heart rate, heart rhythm, respiratory rate, blood pressure, and oxygen saturation level. Continuous monitoring of patients, by the Telemetry RN enables gathering real-time data to make informed decisions regarding patient care, ensuring early detection of abnormalities or changes in the patient's condition. Responsibilities Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but not limited to): Recognizes signs of abuse and reports appropriately to the hospital social worker and/or Adult / Child Protective Services. Familiar with the EMTALA Regulations. Responsible for the observation and direction of patient lifts, mobilization, and shall participate as needed in patient handling. Attends and maintains mandatory training in safe patient handling, trained in safe lifting techniques, includes but not limited to 1) Appropriate use of lifting devices and equipment, 2) Five areas of body exposure: vertical, lateral, bariatric repositioning and ambulation, 3) Use of lifting devices to handle patients safely. Uses professional judgment and clinical assessment in safe patient handling that are consistent with Safe Patient Handling policies. Uses two patient identifiers consistently when drawing lab, administering medications and performing procedures. Follows medication reconciliation policy consistently. Does not use unacceptable abbreviations in documentation (uses read back on all telephone orders.) Monitors authentication and validation of telephone orders within 24 hours by the physician. Ensures consistently that all clinical alarms, i.e. cardiac monitors are set with the appropriate parameters for the patient and are audible at all times. Qualifications Education and Work Experience Current and valid state RN License. Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current. Basic Arrythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire.
