Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant Surgical OR/Spec OP Macon



Responsibilities:

Working alongside physicians, this role involves conducting physical exams, diagnosing and treating patients, collecting and documenting data, performing diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, and coordinating laboratory studies and professional consultations for surgical patients. This role is also a key member of the surgical service line team, specializing in the care of post-operative and critically ill patients in hospital settings, as well as pre- and post-operative evaluations in an office setting.Responsibilities include delivering high-quality patient care, contributing to research, teaching, and consultation, as well as providing leadership within the organization. The position follows established standards and practices while promoting health and managing both acute and chronic diseases. Qualifications:

Education

  • Master's degree Graduate from an accredited school of nursing with a current Georgia license for Advanced Practice Nursing and a Master's degree in Nursing, Required or
  • Master's degree graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program with a current license for the Georgia State Composite Board. Required

Work Experience

  • Previous experience working in a surgical office with breast cancer and/or colorectal cancer experience required.

Licenses and Certifications

  • Licensed Physician Assistant in the State of Georgia Upon Hire Required or
  • Licensed for Advanced Practice Nursing (ACNP, FNP, and WHNP) Upon Hire Required
  • Updated NCCPA for PAs Upon Hire Required and
  • BCLS - Basic Life Support Upon Hire Required
