Glendive Medical Center is looking for licensed nurses to support our Extended Care Department on a PRN basis. This position offers scheduling flexibility while providing the opportunity to deliver high-quality care to residents in a long-term care setting.

As a PRN nurse, you'll become part of a team dedicated to promoting comfort, dignity, and quality of life for those we serve.

Position Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

Provide professional nursing care tailored to individual resident needs
Evaluate resident conditions and communicate changes to providers and care team members
Administer medications, treatments, and other prescribed interventions
Assist with developing, updating, and implementing resident care plans
Collaborate with physicians, therapists, CNAs, and interdisciplinary team members
Support and mentor nursing assistants and other direct care staff
Maintain thorough and accurate clinical documentation
Promote a safe environment by following infection prevention, safety, and regulatory standards

LPNs practice under the supervision of an RN

Qualifications

Required

Current Montana RN or LPN license, or applicable Compact license
Current BLS certification
Strong assessment, communication, and organizational skills
Ability to work independently and prioritize responsibilities effectively

Preferred

Previous experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or geriatric nursing
Experience working with electronic medical records

PRN Commitment

To remain active in PRN status, team members are expected to:

Work a minimum of one shift every three months
Maintain required licensure and certifications
Participate in additional shifts as available and mutually agreed upon
