Glendive Medical Center is looking for licensed nurses to support our Extended Care Department on a PRN basis. This position offers scheduling flexibility while providing the opportunity to deliver high-quality care to residents in a long-term care setting.

As a PRN nurse, you'll become part of a team dedicated to promoting comfort, dignity, and quality of life for those we serve.

 

Position Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

  • Provide professional nursing care tailored to individual resident needs
  • Evaluate resident conditions and communicate changes to providers and care team members
  • Administer medications, treatments, and other prescribed interventions
  • Assist with developing, updating, and implementing resident care plans
  • Collaborate with physicians, therapists, CNAs, and interdisciplinary team members
  • Support and mentor nursing assistants and other direct care staff
  • Maintain thorough and accurate clinical documentation
  • Promote a safe environment by following infection prevention, safety, and regulatory standards
  • LPNs practice under the supervision of an RN

 

Qualifications

Required

  • Current Montana RN or LPN license, or applicable Compact license
  • Current BLS certification
  • Strong assessment, communication, and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize responsibilities effectively

Preferred

  • Previous experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or geriatric nursing
  • Experience working with electronic medical records

PRN Commitment

To remain active in PRN status, team members are expected to:

  • Work a minimum of one shift every three months
  • Maintain required licensure and certifications
  • Participate in additional shifts as available and mutually agreed upon
