Registered Nurse - Resource Team

Founded in 1938, Wilcox Medical Center is a not-for-profit medical center dedicated to providing the Kaua‘i community with accessible quality health care. The largest medical center on Kaua‘i, it is a state-of-the-art acute care facility with a full suite of services offering 30 specialties and programs, including cardiology, emergency, family practice, gastroenterology, health management, internal medicine, neurology, OB-GYN, oncology, orthopedics, pediatrics and urology. Its 18-bed emergency department serves as the island’s Primary Stroke Center. The medical center also has four birthing suites, seven intensive care beds and 20 same-day surgery beds. Wilcox is the first American College of Surgeons-verified Level III Trauma Center in the state of Hawai‘i. The Resource Team provides clinical and nursing support and encompasses a broad skill set that enables members to float to various areas in the hospital or clinic. As a Registered Nurse, you will have the opportunity to support physician staff within this high-intensity unit by delivering quality nursing care within the Resource Team and coordinating care planning with other disciplines as needed. Minimum Qualifications: Current Hawai‘i Registered Nurse license. Current American Heart Association Health Care Provider Basic Life Support (BLS); if applicable Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatrics Advanced Life Support (PALS) CPR card. Two (2) years of recent registered nurse experience in an acute care setting in at least two (2) specialty departments.

Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in nursing or related field. Ability to float to at least three (3) specialty departments. Minimum one (1) year experience in medical/surgical nursing preferred. ICU only - one (1) year ICU/CCU nursing experience preferred.
