Responsibilities

· Provide high-quality nursing care to residents.

· Complete admission, transfer, and discharge documentation accurately.

· Maintain detailed and timely nursing notes.

· Complete accident and incident reports as required.

· Report discrepancies regarding physician orders, charting, or medications.

· Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders.

· Review resident charts, treatment plans, and medication records.

· Educate residents and families to promote health and well-being.

· Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary care team.

Qualifications

· Current New York State Registered Nurse (RN) license.

· Current BLS/CPR certification.

· Long-Term Care or Nursing & Rehabilitation experience preferred, but not required.

· Excellent communication and clinical assessment skills.

· Compassionate, dependable, and team-oriented.

A Bachelor’s degree in Nursing is strongly preferred, as is prior patient care experience ideally emergency room nursing and comfort with electronic medical record systems (EMR) like EPIC. In this role, you will work 7a - 7:30p and every other weekend and rotating holidays. The work week is 36 hours per week.
