RN Responsibilities:

  • Maintains appropriate nursing service objectives, goals, and standards of nursing practices consistent with licensure requirements and the Nurse Practice Act.

  • Evaluates staffing pattern needed to meet the needs of the residents in conjunction with the Director of Nursing.

  • Administers medication/treatments as prescribed.

  • Receive, transcribe, and implement physician’s orders.

  • Implements and evaluates care plans.

  • Identifies/secures equipment supplies

  • Directs/oversees subordinates.

  • Participates in duty assignments.

  • Organizes/coordinates subordinates, job tasks, and time allotments.

  • Oversees/monitors function and activities of subordinate staff.

  • Evaluate staff performance and institutes appropriate action discipline/training.

  • Monitor’s infection control compliance.

  • Investigates/documents accidents/incidents.

  • Other duties as assigned.

RN Requirements:

  • Current, valid licensure as a RN required

  • Experience in long-term healthcare preferred

  • Management/Supervisory experience required

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills needed

  • Strong written and verbal skills required

Job Summary Rounds in the hospital and transcribes patient notes under the direction of the physician . Assists the physician during clinic visits and transcribes patient notes under the direction of the physician. Places orders in Hospital and clinic EMR as instructed by the physician . Reviews imaging and lab results and acts accordingly after physician direction. Works in coordination with the nurse navigator in assisting the patient through the neurosurgery care continuum. The ICU cares for a wide variety of critical patients with complex medical conditions- including respiratory failure, sepsis, renal failure, induced hypothermia, and prolonged intermittent renal replacement therapy. We maintain a fast pace to meet the needs of those in the most acute phases of cardiac disease.
