Key Responsibilities for Weekend Nurse Supervisor:

  • Oversee the nursing department in the absence of the Director of Nursing (DON)

  • Review staffing at the change of each shift and make adjustments to ensure all resident care needs are met

  • Complete patient care rounds, ensuring high-quality care for all residents

Qualifications of Weekend Nurse Supervisors:

Clinical Nursing Supervisor

GENERAL STATEMENT The Clinical Nurse Supervisor is responsible for coordinating and overseeing the clinical experiences for student Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) candidates. This individual will provide on-site supervision for all pre-nursing students during their clinical rotations, collaborate with classroom instructors and clinical sites to schedule student clinical hours, and meet regularly with Therapeutic Pathway - PreNursing classroom teachers to review student progress and provide in-class supports as needed. The supervisor will also ensure that both didactic and clinical objectives align with the requirements of the Connecticut State Board of Nursing. REPORTS TO: Director of Career & Community Learning LOCATION: District MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES: Supervise and evaluate students during clinical experiences.
