 Iredell Health System is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our newly expanded, state-of-the-art Critical Care Unit (CCU) at Iredell Memorial Hospital in Statesville, NC. In this role, you will prescribe, delegate, and coordinate optimal patient care in alignment with our mission of promoting community wellbeing.

  Compensation & Premium Incentives

  • Sign-On Bonus: $15,000 sign-on bonus for eligible experienced CCU candidates.
  • Shift Differential: Generous hourly Night Shift Differential added to your base pay.
  • Overtime Extra Incentive: Earn an additional $5.00 per hour for any hours worked over 36 hours per week (inclusive of standard overtime tracking).
  • Schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM (36 hours per week), dedicated weekend night, with one additional 12 hour shift within a two week period.

Our CCU expansion and total renovation project is fully complete, providing an exceptional environment for both patients and staff.

  • Expanded Capacity: We have grown from our original 16 beds to 27 modern patient rooms, separating specialized intensive care and progressive care tracks.
  • Advanced Healing Environment: The unit features expansive hallways, beautiful finishes, and large windows utilizing natural light to foster healing.
  • Staff-Centric Safety: Includes four specialized rooms with bariatric ceiling lifts, allowing clinical staff to safely and ergonomically transfer patients over 350 pounds with ease.
  • Surge Readiness: Built with 11 specialized rooms capable of seamlessly transforming into negative pressure isolation spaces.

  Key Responsibilities 


The Registered Nurse (RN) prescribes nursing care, delegates nursing activities, and coordinates the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of patient care to provide optimal quality care, consistent with the hospital’s mission and nursing philosophy, objectives, and standards. Has full access to patient health information.

Requirements

  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) Licensure in North Carolina.
  • Certification in BCLS.
  • Successful completion of a hospital and unit-specific orientation which includes age and population specific skills for the area of practice in which the RN will be working and addresses the growth and development needs for the patients for whom the RN will be providing nursing care.
  • Must possess full range of body motion to pass basic FIT test for position to include walking, kneeling, standing, pushing, pulling, bending, stooping, reaching and sitting for extended periods of time. Must be able to lift and carry up to 30 pounds.
