Breast Oncology Advanced Practice Provider

Overview

The Section of Medical Oncology at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center is seeking an experienced Breast Oncology Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) or Physician Assistant (PA) to provide outpatient healthcare to individuals within the Comprehensive Breast Oncology Program of the Dartmouth Cancer Center.  The successful candidate will assess, treat and manage the healthcare needs and problems of patients and families within their specialty area(s). The APRN/PA functions as part of the provider team to provide care to the department’s panel of breast oncology patients.  This position is full-time, 40 hours per week.

  • The APP in the Comprehensive Breast Oncology Program will be part of a group of associate providers and a lead nurse practitioner with the Dartmouth Cancer Center.  Additional staff includes a nurse navigator, clinic nurse and secretarial support, and provider staff assigned to the team.
  • 40-hour clinical work week.  No call responsibilities.
  • Tumor board participation.
  • Teaching opportunities.  Academic appointment with the Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth at a level commensurate with experience.
  • Research opportunities.  Current projects include serious illness planning, quality improvement, symptom management, and enhancing provider communication.

To be considered for the role, please apply at the following link: Position Details - Academic Personnel & Faculty The University of Washington Department of Medicine, Division of Hematology and Oncology is seeking two full-time ARNPs or PAs at the rank of Teaching Associate. The Advanced Practice Providers (ARNP or PA) will be deployed at UWMC and Fred Hutch Cancer Center (FHCC) at Northwest Hospital (NWH) and will provide hematologic/oncologic related evaluation and medical management of consulted patients. The Northwest Hospital Inpatient Heme Onc Consult ARNP/PA-C may work with a variety of hematology/oncology patients to assess and manage basic health needs, address treatment toxicities, perform procedures, monitor for cancer progression or recurrence, and consult with professional peers as needed. They work collaboratively with the assigned consult oncology physician to coordinate care of patients. All clinical responsibilities are performed within the scope of practice, institutional privileges, and under the supervision of an attending physician. Two years of ARNP or PA-C experience in Hematology and Medical Oncology preferred. This position is hired at 1.0 FTE and Teaching Associates in the Department of Medicine, Division of Hematology and Oncology hold annual appointments that align with a 12-month service period (July 1-June 30) and may be reappointed to subsequent annual terms. Faculty with 12-month service periods are paid for 11 months of service over a 12-month period (July-June), meaning the equivalent of one month is available for paid time off.
