Responsibilities & Requirements

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides direct, compassionate nursing care to patients under the supervision of a registered nurse or physician, supporting patient safety, comfort, and recovery. This role assists with medication administration, monitoring, and documentation while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and infection control protocols. Performs other duties as assigned. All job responsibilities are to be carried out in alignment with Kettering Health's mission, vision, values, and B Safe program.Graduate of an accredited Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) program.None required beyond completion of an accredited LPN program.Current, valid Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the State of Ohio. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in an acute care or clinical setting. IV therapy certification.

Must either have six months of experience as a Medical Assistant, OR, have graduated from an accredited MA or Medical Office Management program that meets nationally accepted standards. Within one year from date of hire, continued employment will require successful attainment and retention of CCMA, CMA (AAMA) or NCMA certification or RMA plus documented completion of a Medical Assisting program through an accredited institution of higher learning.
