Responsibilities

  • Provides antepartum, post-partum, family-planning and well-woman gynecological care independently and with consultation to low, moderate and high-risk adolescent and adult women based on scope of practice and established guidelines.
  • This care is guided by practice protocols and standards established under the direction of the Medical Director and Clinical Vice President of Women’s Services.
  • Functions in collaborative relationships with consulting physicians as clinically indicated.
  • Participates in the daily functions and staff rotations as directed by the Medical Director. 
  • Follows all organizational, regulatory and human resource policies and procedures as established by Legacy Health System.
  • Practice includes full participation in outpatient care & full scope of midwifery.

Qualifications

Experience:

  • Full scope women’s healthcare and midwifery experience.

Knowledge/Skills:

  • Able to conduct research.

  • Ability to work with people in a diplomatic and tactful manner, utilizing effective leadership and group process skills.
  • Demonstrated competency in clinical care, as appropriate to the ages of patients served.
  • Ability to obtain and interpret information in terms of the patient’s needs; knowledge of growth and development; and an understanding of the range of treatment needed by these patients.

Licensure

  • Current applicable state license as a Registered Nurse/ Nurse Midwife/ Nurse Practitioner with Prescriptive Privileges (NP-PP) required.
  • National Certification as a Nurse Midwife (MW) required.
  • Possess active BLS card from the American Heart Association.

Pay Range

USD $73.32 - USD $93.75 /Hr.
