Responsibilities The Physician Assistant and Acute Care Nurse Practitioner has advanced health assessment and decision-making skills, prepared through a formal educational program that meets criteria established by the profession. Physician Assistants are certified by examination of an approved certifying body. This individual works in collaboration with physicians and other health care professionals to provide health care across the continuum of care for assigned patients. The Physician Assistant and Acute Care Nurse Practitioner provides clinical services in a hospital setting, either on an admitting or consultative service greater than 50% of the time. This position will be required to participate in the on-call rotation and provide coverage for various shifts, weekends, and holidays.
