Position Summary/ Department Summary: Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, Per Diem Key Responsibilities: Providing individualized care for patients. Includes conducting thorough psychiatric assessments, including risk assessment and reviewing past medical history Performing medication reconciliation, reviewing prior medication trials, and prescribing medications as appropriate, ensuring safety and efficacy in the emergency setting Coordinates with social work team to conduct treatment planning and recommendations for level of care decision making Recommending observation levels, creating and implementing agitation plans, and obtaining collateral information for patients boarding in the emergency department.
