Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) – ACT Team (PRN) 📍 Winston-Salem, NC (Forsyth County Coverage) 💰 $80 – $85 per hour 🕒 PRN | 4–8 Hours per Week | Flexible Schedule Flexible PRN Role with High Community Impact Pyramid Healthcare is seeking a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to support our Assertive Community Treatment Team (ACTT) in Winston-Salem and Forsyth County. This is a low-hour, flexible PRN opportunity (4–8 hours/week) ideal for a provider looking to supplement their schedule while making a meaningful impact in community-based mental health care. About the ACT Team Our ACTT program operates as a “hospital without walls,” delivering high-intensity behavioral health services directly in the community. We serve individuals with severe and persistent mental illness who are at high risk for psychiatric crisis and often face barriers to traditional care. You’ll work alongside a multidisciplinary team providing comprehensive, recovery-focused services that address mental health, substance use, housing, and overall stability. What You’ll Do Provide psychiatric evaluation, medication management, and ongoing care for ACTT clients Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to support individualized treatment planning Participate in ACTT team meetings and provide clinical input as needed Oversee safe and effective prescribing practices Serve as a medical resource for the ACTT team and leadership Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the EMR Support continuity of care and crisis response as needed Perform additional duties to support program success What We’re Looking For Licensed Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) – North Carolina (Required) 1–2 years of post-graduate experience, preferably in community psychiatry or behavioral health Comfortable working in a community-based setting Strong collaboration and communication skills Ability to work independently in a flexible, PRN capacity Why Join Pyramid Healthcare? Our program empowers women to cope with trauma safely and helps men overcome addiction through structured education, therapy, and medical care. Our LPNs ensure timely lab review, address physician orders, and support our recovery mission. Review and follow detox protocols Assist staff in high volume shifts, prioritizing and organizing the shift, completion of the unit scheduling. Orientation of new nurses as needed Administer medications and complete MAR Complete labs necessary for treatment (HCG, urine, BAC, glucometer) Administer IM and SQ medications and Narcan as needed Ensure labs are being addressed, reviewed, obtaining and transcribing of physician orders. Follow proper consent procedures. Involved in Performance Improvement Projects. Nursing competency and evaluation completion. Follow Evidence Based Practice guidelines Nursing assessments, treatment plans, medication administration, vitals, follow detox protocols and other medical protocols along with assisting medical provider as needed. Essential Responsibilities Provide direct nursing care and clinical support to clients. Administer medications and monitor effectiveness and side effects. Complete nursing assessments, screenings, and documentation. Monitor withdrawal symptoms using tools such as COWS and CIWA. Educate clients on medications, health conditions, and recovery-related topics. Support providers during medical evaluations and medication management appointments.
