A typical day in the life of a Provider, includes:  

  • Collaborating with the center clinical staff to ensure patient care.
  • Providing treatment of illnesses and injuries; order labs and other diagnostic tests and prescribe medications for children and adults. 
  • Demonstrating the ability to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individual patient care appropriate to the age of patients. 
  • Performing common urgent care procedures such as wound repair, abscess drainage, splinting, EKG and X-Ray interpretation. 
  • Master’s degree and Certification 
  • Current State License in the center for which you are applying  
  • Experience as a provider in emergency medicine or urgent care  
  • Credentialed to see patients of all ages 
  • Active DEA license with no restrictions 
  • Current DOT certification or ability to become certified

Job Summary We are seeking a per diem Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our Interventional Radiology team at Wentworth-Douglass Hospital in Dover, NH. This position is based on the main hospital campus and requires a commitment of 3–4 shifts per month. The Interventional Radiology service operates Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with no weekends, holidays, or on-call responsibilities. This hire will work collaboratively with a team of Interventional Radiologists while practicing with a high degree of autonomy in the evaluation and management of patients undergoing image-guided procedures. Responsibilities include performing biopsies, paracenteses, thoracenteses, lumbar punctures, and port insertions, as well as providing peri-procedural care and participating in inpatient rounding. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced, procedure-oriented provider who is comfortable practicing independently in a fast-paced hospital environment. Summary The Physician Assistant (PA) is a licensed provider. The PA is responsible for the assessment and management of various populations of patients, medical and/or surgical, including diagnostic and therapeutic interventions, development of appropriate plans of care and ongoing evaluation.
