Job Summary:

Van Duyn Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing, a 513-bed Skilled Nursing Facility in Syracuse, New York, is seeking a talented Weekend Warrior Registered Nurse (RN) to join our dynamic team! As a Weekend Warrior Registered Nurse (RN), you will provide exceptional care to our residents while collaborating with our team of nursing and medical staff on evenings, nights, and weekends. Responsibilities:

  • Lead and provide direction and supervision of clinical operations, ancillary nursing personnel, and residents

  • Collaborate with a team of nursing and medical staff on evenings, nights, and weekends

  • Use professional judgment and problem-solving skills to assure quality of care for residents

  • Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team

  • Provide direct patient care, including administration of medications, treatments, and procedures

  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and education programs

Requirements:

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license

  • CPR certification

  • Experience in a skilled nursing facility, rehabilitation, long-term care, or related healthcare setting (recommended)

  • Knowledge of theory, practice, and principles of clinical care (recommended)

  • Knowledge of CMS guidelines and DOH reporting and investigation standards (recommended)
