About the Position

Casselman Healthcare & Rehabilitation is looking for compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurses who are passionate about providing quality nursing care and enhancing the lives of our residents.

As a PRN RN, you will provide clinical leadership and direct resident care while working closely with physicians, LPNs, CNAs and the interdisciplinary care team.

RN Responsibilities

  • Assess, plan, implement and evaluate individualized nursing care for residents.

  • Administer medications, treatments and IV therapy according to physician orders and facility policies.

  • Monitor resident conditions, recognize changes in health status and respond appropriately.

  • Coordinate resident care with physicians, nurse practitioners, therapists and the interdisciplinary care team.

  • Supervise and support LPNs and CNAs to promote quality resident care.

  • Complete accurate and timely documentation of assessments, care provided and resident responses.

  • Participate in admissions, transfers, discharges and care planning.

  • Educate residents and their families regarding medical conditions, treatments and care plans.

  • Promote a safe, clean and comfortable environment for residents.

  • Serve as charge nurse and provide leadership to the nursing team as assigned.

  • Maintain compliance with federal, state and facility regulations and standards of nursing practice.

Qualifications

  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.

  • Current CPR/BLS certification or willingness to obtain.

  • Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking and communication skills.

  • Ability to work effectively as part of a healthcare team.

  • Long-term care or skilled nursing experience preferred.

  • New graduate RNs are encouraged to apply.
