Your Responsibilities Include
- Provide specialized nursing care related to end-of-life and hospice services.
- Collaborate with hospice aides, occupational therapists, physical therapists, social workers, speech therapists, dietitians, and clinical supervisors to support patient care.
- Use, maintain, and prepare equipment and supplies while following appropriate aseptic techniques.
- Provide effective pain and symptom management interventions.
- Monitor and evaluate patient responses to treatments and medications.
- Participate in professional development and continuing education opportunities.
- Support quality assessment and performance improvement initiatives within the organization.
- Perform delegated duties as assigned by the Registered Nurse.
- Complete additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.
What You Bring
- Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) license in the applicable state.
- Minimum of three (3) years of nursing experience required.
- Community health, hospice, or medical-surgical nursing experience preferred.
- Understanding of hospice philosophy and the unique needs of terminally ill patients and their families.
- Ability to work flexible hours as needed.
- Commitment to maintaining proficiency with information systems and applicable software programs.
