About the Role:

The BMS LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse) plays a critical role in delivering high-quality patient care within the healthcare and social assistance sector. This position involves providing direct nursing care under the supervision of registered nurses and physicians, ensuring patient comfort, safety, and well-being. The LPN will be responsible for monitoring patient health, administering medications, and assisting with medical procedures, contributing to effective treatment plans. Minimum Qualifications:

• Current and valid Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the United States.
• Completion of an accredited practical nursing program.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Proven experience working as an LPN in a healthcare setting.
• Strong understanding of nursing practices, patient care standards, and medical terminology.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in behavioral health, mental health, or social assistance settings.
• Additional certifications such as IV therapy or medication administration.
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills tailored to diverse patient populations.
• Ability to work effectively in fast-paced and multidisciplinary healthcare teams.

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct nursing care to patients, including administering medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Monitor and record patients' vital signs and health status, reporting any changes to the supervising nurse or physician.
• Assist with patient hygiene, mobility, and daily living activities to promote comfort and recovery.
• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and standards.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
• Educate patients and their families on health maintenance, disease prevention, and post-treatment care.
• Ensure a safe and clean environment by following infection control protocols and safety procedures.

Skills:

The required skills enable the BMS LPN to perform clinical tasks such as administering medications, monitoring patient conditions, and documenting care accurately, which are essential for patient safety and treatment efficacy.
