Bon Secours Surgery Center at Harbour View is seeking a PRN Certified Surgical Technologist. We are a busy multispecialty surgery center serving Northern Suffolk and an affiliate of United Surgical Partners International (USPI). USPI’s mission is to care for each patient and their family as if they were our own. Each patient, each family, each and every time.

The Certified Surgical Technologist is responsible for all departmental functions in support of USPI’s mission, vision, and facility goals. This position establishes effective working relationships with all constituencies including patients, physicians, employees, volunteers and vendors. The Certified Surgical Technologist scrubs for surgical procedures and demonstrates competence while working with leadership in meeting facility safety, quality, customer service, and financial goals.

Required Skills:

Summary GENERAL SUMMARY The Surgical Technician is responsible for assisting the RN and surgeon during operative procedures. The Surgical Technician assists with cases of various degrees of complexity. This role may require the ability to work flexible shifts and be on call to help fulfill 24/7 operations. Reports to the Operating Room Manager. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Arranges and inventories sterile set up utilizing knowledge of asepsis and sterilization techniques.
