Director of Nursing - Surgical Services

 

This role is the equivcalent of a Unit Manager and this person will be a member of MedStar Health entity-based Division of Nursing's (DON) leadership/management team. This person will oversee the Operating Room, PreOp and PACU teams. There are five ADONs functioning as assistant nurse managers and have direct reports. The have both hands-on and administrative function.

Qualifications

 

  • BSN from a nationally accredited program required; Master's degree in Nursing or health related field from a nationally accredited program preferred.
  • 4 years of RN experience required; 2 years of management and leadership experience preferred, particularly in the OR, at least 2 years of OR RN experience strongly preferred.
  • Active MD RN License or Active Compact State RN and Basic Life Support for Healthcare providers required (AHA or American Red Cross). CNOR strongly preferred.
  • Passion for bringing teams together
This position has a hiring range of : USD $70.21 - USD $86.20 /Hr.
