MedStar Medical Group is seeking a Critical Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our team at MedStar Montgomery Medical Center in Olney, Maryland, a charming suburban community in Montgomery County just north of Washington, D.C. Practice in a 12-bed Medical/Surgical ICU caring for critically ill medical and surgical patients while enjoying a high degree of clinical autonomy, strong physician collaboration, and the support of MedStar Health's nationally recognized healthcare system.

Dedicated Nocturnists receive a generous adjustor with the flexibility to apply it toward either their base annual salary or annual clinical target.

Typical daily ICU census of 8–10 patients managed by a three-provider team

Lead Code Blue responses and participate in Rapid Response Team activations
Evaluate and manage unstable patients throughout the hospital who may require ICU-level care
Perform procedures and practice with a high degree of clinical autonomy within a collaborative team environment

Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (AGACNP) or Physician Assistant program
Current AGACNP or NCCPA certification
Current BLS and ACLS certification
At least 1 year of acute care APP experience required
