What You'll Do:
  • Prepare, operate, monitor, disinfect, and maintain dialysis machines and related equipment according to established standards.
  • Assist with maintaining adequate levels of supplies and ensuring equipment readiness.
  • Monitor patients throughout dialysis treatments, assess and respond to machine alarms, and report concerns to the RN.
  • Discontinue dialysis treatments, remove needles, and provide appropriate post-treatment access care.
  • Obtain and document patient vital signs, weights, and treatment information.
  • Assist with access preparation, patient transfers, and other aspects of direct patient care.
  • Collaborate with the dialysis team to ensure safe, high-quality, patient-centered care.
  • Support quality improvement and infection prevention practices within the dialysis unit.
What You'll Bring:
  • Graduate of an accredited Practical Nursing program.
  • Current Nebraska Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Valid Nebraska driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and critical-thinking skills.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively as part of a team.
  • Ability to remain calm and respond appropriately in emergency situations.
