
School LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse) - Saint Francis, Minnesota

As a contracted LPN, you’ll support the student within the classroom as well as during transportation to and from school, playing a vital role in their daily success. The assignment follows the academic calendar, offering a predictable schedule with 37.5 hours per week.
Qualifications:
- Current, valid Minnesota LPN license (required)
- Active CPR/AED certification
- At least two years of hands-on experience with pediatric patients, plus demonstrated skills in tracheostomy care and suctioning
- Ability to ride the bus with the student as necessary, per their transportation schedule
- Experience in pediatric, home health, or school-based nursing strongly preferred
Responsibilities:
- Deliver attentive, individualized nursing care for a student with a tracheostomy, including regular monitoring and suctioning as outlined in the healthcare plan
- Document all care, observations, and interventions daily with accuracy and detail
- Collaborate with the Health Services team, educational staff, and the student’s family, promoting consistent, high-quality support
- Ensure seamless care while riding with the student on their school bus route
