Part-Time Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant – Springfield, IL

At MedMark, we take a patient-centered approach to opioid addiction treatment. In the first days of treatment, we’ll design an individualized plan that’s suited to patient needs. We don’t just offer rehabilitation counseling and methadone treatment, MedMark clinics also provide physical evaluations, drug screenings, case management services, relapse prevention education, and after-care planning. Additionally, certain clinic locations offer methadone detox, buprenorphine maintenance, and group counseling. All of our services focus on helping our patients achieve long-term sobriety to enhance wellbeing and improve quality of life.

Job Responsibilities:

Assist in admitting patients for Methadone and Buprenorphine Treatment
To obtain a history and physical exam
Documentation into the EMR, entering orders for methadone dosing in the EMR or writing a buprenorphine prescription
To authorize and supervise dispensing of daily narcotic replacement therapy and other medication by medical staff in the Medical Director’s absence.
Consistently monitoring patient dosages in conjunction with the Program Physician/Medical Director, Treatment Center Director, Counselors and Dosing Nurses
Other related duties as determined by supervisor

Position Requirements:

Must be a Licensed Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant in good standing with the State of Illinois
Drug rehabilitation training/knowledge required
Must be able to interact compassionately with a diverse population
Satisfactory drug screen and criminal background check

Salary Range:

Salary ranges from $59.00 to $61.58 an hour.

The salary of the candidate(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, experience, education, specialty and training.

The Advanced Practice Registered Nurse acts as a link in the continuity of patient care and clinical research for the Center for Maternal-Fetal Medicine. This individual functions as an APRN who participates as a member of Maternal Fetal-Medicine with faculty, residents, and students in the management of obstetrical patients. The individual is involved in the education of other nurses, patients, family members, residents, medical students, and the community at large. The APRN is also involved in the conduct of clinical research protocols. I. Clinical Activities 70% A Provides high quality medical care including initial and follow-up care in the MFM Prenatal Clinic. B.Maintains list of all active patients in MFM Prenatal Clinic, including problems and plans of care. C.Works in collaboration with nursing staff to triage outpatient referrals as they become available and appropriately schedule the patient's appointment depending on medical condition. D.Obtains accurate patient history and pertinent health information regarding previous and ongoing state of health through advanced nursing assessment.
