Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Certified School Nurse (CSN) to support students across a K12 school setting. This full-time position focuses heavily on supporting the schools special education population and ensuring students health needs are appropriately addressed within the educational environment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide school nursing services to K12 students
  • Serve as the primary nursing resource for students and school staff
  • Support the health-related needs of students receiving special education services
  • Complete and support IEP-related responsibilities, including providing health information and recommendations as appropriate
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, families, and related service providers
  • Maintain accurate and timely health records and documentation
  • Respond to student health concerns and provide appropriate nursing care throughout the school day
  • Promote student health, safety, and ability to participate in the educational environment

Requirements

  • Valid Illinois Certified School Nurse (CSN) credential
  • School nursing experience preferred
  • Experience working with K12 students and special education populations preferred
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
