School Nurse RN or LPN | 1:1 Student Support | Monroeville, PA

Position Overview

We are seeking Registered Nurses (RNs) or Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) for two full-time, 1:1 school nursing opportunities in Monroeville, PA. Each nurse will provide individualized health and medical support to a student throughout the school day.

Available 1:1 Assignments

Opening 1 Student with Complex Medical Needs

• Provide 1:1 nursing care for a student who is nonverbal and non-ambulatory
• Monitor and manage seizure-related care and medication needs
• Provide ongoing health monitoring and support throughout the school day
• Collaborate with school staff and the student's healthcare team as needed

Opening 2 Student with Shunt

• Provide 1:1 nursing support for a student with a medical shunt
• Monitor the student's health and respond appropriately to changes or concerns
• Provide care and support to promote the student's safety and participation throughout the school day
• Communicate with school staff regarding the student's health needs

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, attentive 1:1 nursing care throughout the school day
• Monitor student health and respond to medical needs appropriately
• Administer medications and treatments as directed and within scope of practice
• Maintain accurate and timely nursing documentation
• Follow individualized healthcare plans and school health protocols
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, families, and other healthcare professionals

Requirements

• Active RN or LPN license
• Previous pediatric, school nursing, or 1:1 nursing experience preferred
• Experience with seizure management, complex medical needs, or shunt care is a plus
• Strong communication, organization, and clinical judgment skills
